Recently, the national standard "Interconnection and Interoperability Specifications for Digital Workshop Equipment in Robot Manufacturing" (National Standard Number GB/T 41256-2022), led by the Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was released and will be published and implemented on October 1, 2022.

This standard specifies the system composition, general requirements, and interconnection and interoperability requirements for digital workshops in robot manufacturing, providing unified descriptions from three levels: system composition, network architecture, and interactive data. During the standard development process, Shenyang Institute of Automation collaborated with domestic robot manufacturing enterprises such as Shenyang Siasun Robot & Automation Co., Ltd. and Estech Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. to conduct research, gather opinions and suggestions from all parties, and perform experimental validation, further enhancing the applicability and operability of the standard.
Robots are important equipment in manufacturing, and establishing digital workshops for robot manufacturing to improve product quality and production efficiency is of great significance, while eliminating information silos and breaking down information barriers is a key support for building digital workshops.
