What are the quarterly inspection items for robots? What key points should be checked during quarterly robot maintenance?
Robot maintenance is divided into daily inspections and scheduled (periodic) maintenance. Maintenance personnel must develop a structured inspection plan and carry out all checks thoroughly and consistently.
Quarterly robot inspection checklist:

1. Control Unit Cables
Inspect the teach pendant cable for improper kinking, excessive bending, or signs of wear.
2. Control Unit Ventilation System
If the ventilation unit (fan or filter) is dirty, power down the system and clean the vents or replace filters as needed to ensure proper cooling.
3. Cables in the Mechanical Unit
Check the mechanical unit connectors for damage or abnormal bending. Verify that servo motor connectors and industrial-grade circular connectors (e.g., Harting-type) are securely mated and free from corrosion or looseness.
4. Component Cleaning and General Inspection
Clean all accessible components and inspect them for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction—address any issues immediately.
5. Tightening of External Critical Fasteners
Retorque fasteners on the end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) and other key external bolts to manufacturer-specified torque values to prevent loosening due to vibration.
