Siemens has launched the SINAMICS S200 servo drive system, which includes SINAMICS S200 drives and SIMOTICS S-1FL2 motors, with standard or flexible cable options available. Siemens' 1FL2 permanent magnet motors come with 17-bit or 21-bit encoders, with power ratings up to 7kW, including low, medium, and high inertia products that offer scalable performance and can expand to meet a wide range of standard servo requirements.

Electronic nameplates on the 1FL2 motors and one-click tuning in the S200 drives ensure easy setup. Integrated brake resistors and integrated holding brake control add functionality to the S200 servo drives. Coated circuit boards (3C2) in the S200 and IP65 motors feature metal connection solutions designed with high durability. Built-in undervoltage protection is also provided.
For engineering of machine builders or machine user systems, embedded web servers integrated in Siemens TIA Portal or Startdrive software meet user needs. The SINAMICS S200 drive system is easy to implement on machines used globally, meeting universal standards and certification requirements.
SINAMICS S200 is included in the SINAMICS DriveSim Basic model, allowing users to create digital twins of drive and PLC communications during project planning phase to ensure proper sizing and operation of equipment in use.
In the field of cybersecurity, SINAMICS S200 for network connections comes standard with integrated security, providing enhanced communication, integrity, and authenticity checks to prevent parameter tampering. Additionally, the drives offer user management and access control in TIA Portal.
