| EOL Machinery Will Continue Growing-Industry News-Speed Intelligent Technology Jiangsu Co., Ltd - SpeedPack思辟德智能科技江苏有限公司
According to the PMMI Business Report 2020 from the Association for Packaging Machinery Manufacturers, end-of-line equipment accounted for $ 4.42 billion of all U.S. domestic equipment purchases, or 46.8%, with the food and beverage industry purchasing over half of all EOL equipment (57%). The food group accounted for over one-third of all EOL terminal packaging equipment purchases at $ 1.62 billion, followed by beverages with sales of $ 902 million. The compound annual growth rate from 2015-2020 was 6.5%. Growth projections through 2026 are 5.13%. Positive contributing factors for future growth of EOL terminal packaging equipment include: focus on sustainability, renewed emphasis on supply chain visibility, expanded SKU quantities in the CPG industry, and widespread labor shortages.

Specifically, what is end-of-line packaging? EOL packaging, often called bulk, tertiary, or transportation packaging, is used to group large quantities of SKUs to transport them from point A to point B (for example, from production facilities to point of sale). An example of tertiary packaging is a stretch-wrapped pallet containing a certain number of cardboard boxes to enable efficient product transportation.
There are five categories of EOL equipment, with two of them—case/pallet handling and labeling/coding—accounting for two-thirds of all EOL mechanical sales, followed by palletizing, case sealing packaging/strapping/bundling and conveying equipment. Conveying, coding/labeling/marking, and depalletizing also exist in other areas of packaging lines.
Speed Packaging Equipment focuses on EOL terminal equipment: case openers, case sealers, strapping machines, and other automated packaging equipment R&D and production. Welcome to call for consultation or visit our factory!
