1. Poor tape quality. Inferior tape quality is one of the key factors affecting sealing performance. Currently, there is a wide variety of tapes on the market, but the quality varies greatly. While we don't recommend users buy the absolute best, we also don't recommend buying the cheapest. Tape quality can be tested with a finger adhesion test.
2. Insufficient pressure from the upper mechanism. Carton
automatic case sealers rely primarily on the clamping force of the upper and lower mechanisms to adhere the tape to the carton. When the pressure is insufficient, the tape will not stick to the carton properly, and at this point, the position of the upper mechanism needs to be adjusted to match the carton.
3. Product overloaded in the box. When the product is packed too full, the top flaps of the carton will be forced open after folding. During the sealing process, the top flaps of the carton can be sealed tightly with the help of the
case sealer. However, after sealing, if the tape's adhesive strength is insufficient, it will be difficult to ensure the top flaps remain tightly bonded, causing the tape to easily come loose.
