Grade 304 stainless steel is widely used in industrial equipment, containing a minimum of 8% nickel. It offers superior corrosion resistance compared to the 200 series and is particularly well-suited for packaging corrosive food products. As a general-purpose austenitic stainless steel, 304 exhibits excellent rust and corrosion resistance, good resistance to intergranular corrosion, and performs reliably at high temperatures (with a continuous service temperature typically below 650°C). In laboratory testing, 304 stainless steel demonstrates strong resistance to oxidizing acids—specifically, it withstands boiling nitric acid at concentrations up to 65%. It also shows good corrosion resistance against alkaline solutions, as well as most organic and inorganic acids.

Stainless steel case sealers generally fall into two categories:
1. Stainless Steel Exterior / Frame: The most common type, where the machine frame and outer panels are made of stainless steel to prevent surface corrosion while maintaining cost efficiency.
2. Full Stainless Steel Construction: The highest-grade option, where all structural and exposed components are fabricated from stainless steel—except for parts that cannot be made from metal (e.g., conveyor belts, rubber rollers, casters).
